Beats shutting down Peacock Springs completely.

You have to admit, it's all pretty funny. Reminds me of corporate world.

Manager: "We have problem x, create a sharepoint site to track it"
Employee: "That won't do any good"
Manager: "I know, but it shows that we're working on it and we can write it off for a few years"

Double post; sorry.

So lets post a monthly pic of Peacock 1 to do a bone count . . . six months old so anything newer and we can tally the missing bones.

I dont think anyone will go stealing a deer bone. they can find those on the side of the road

What a relief, now we don't need to close P1 for a stock take!

However, people HAVE tried to steal the Whale Bone and the sand dollar at Devil's. Both are chiseled and f'ed up now.

So you agree, they didn't shut the business down.

Thanks to all who have offered and shared photo's and links.
It is sad that people do not realize what the significance of these fossils remaining in the system for study and or documentation.
It can be tough in the public areas to maintain the integrity of the environment.
I am not in anyway trying to encourage anyone to take or sell artifacts / fossils from caves!

My wife is gathering photo's for a school project with her kids that is all.
I love to see the fossils and bones in the caves when I visit but do not carry a camera as of yet.
