DIR-F is now mandatory for most all courses. All standards and course guidelines are updated and posted on the GUE web site, so that is the best source for info. My friends there tell me that it will be required for all courses, and I think it should be, it is an excellent course, everyone will benefit from.

If you want to dive into a cave I suggest to have a good level before to make the course... for cavern you don't need it...
Everybody say that cave is an easy dive, but it doesn't! at all!!!
The environment is not easy, and you need good technics under the water. I the best part is the darkness. You must love the darkness... of course that you are not going to dive whitout lights, but if something happens.... you know what I'm talking about.
