So are the Suwanee River caves open or flooded? Madison Blue?

I'm assuming that Ginnie is OK? 'Headed down in a couple of weeks; 'would appreciate any info.

Thanks,
Barbara

I dove Devils Ear Sunday and it was great. Monday I was at Orange Grove. Vis was only about 30 ft but that didn't hamper the dive in anyway.

Barb the last time I went to Madison Blue they weren't allowing dive lights in the spring,so if you wanted to dive the cave you would have to enter throught on of the interconnecting sinks in the area. :06:
Maps are available online for popular caver sites!
As for conditions at various springs there is a current spring conds at this site (Best Fla caver/diver site I've found) :D

Vis was only thirty feet. My god I wish I dove in Florida.
Come on down for one of the "board" group dives(see: Conch Divers)You won't be disappointed because these springs typically have vis upwards to 200'+(Two Hundred ft.)The only drawback is the water temps tend to be sorta cold for Florida divers(70 degrees f)but that is prob warm compared to where you dive

I'm curious when that was? I was down there the end of May 05 on the first day the State park opened the Madison Blue cave back up, and we had our lights with us under the watchful eye of the rangers, one being an avid cave diver.

It was last year just befor they closed Royal for clean-up(would have to check dive log for date)at that time I was with another diver from out of state doing a bit of spring hopping(as I recall she"Madison Blue" was nearly blacked out as well, which made her show badly for the visitor)

Ach, it's still in the low 40s here. Still, I bring my dry suit for the caves.

And I'll check the conchdivers site.

Gracias,
CDW/Barbara
