I remember when Eden Rock was a gorgeous dive site but it has suffered a lot of damage over the years because of heavy diving and snorkeling and proximity to the harbor and ship and tourist traffic.

But now it really has been beaten up bad, a huge container ship grounded on the reef and had to be hauled off by 2 tug boats, see the story at the link below.

So sad. I know some on SB don't think much of the site but it holds fond memories for some of us.
 
Sorry to hear that. A shore accessible site that got a lot of traffic, so a lot of people will be affected. Be interesting to hear how the site is from a diver's perspective in the future, once we get past the initial upset.

Here's a video from a local, it looks like a large field of rubble.

 
Will be on Island next week will dive and take photos of area.

I used to dive Eden Rock at least twice during each trip always found it a fun dive with decent marine life.....I always dove it early when no cruise ships in most of the time we were the only divers on it.
