Doing some serious yard work on my hands and knees and this beautiful little snake almost bite me . Mad as can be striking out like crazy and so close to my arm and then had to kill him . Wish it was not so the yardwork was in need to go . Be good safe and kind Rumdumb
 
Wow, I didn’t realize that there were copperheads in the L A area! Haven’t seen one since I left the Ohio/Kentucky area.
 
Or, he killed a different venomous snake....more likely than a Copperhead.
Obviously that is possible as well which is why I said "probably"; may also have been a baby burmese python--a notorious but non-venomous invasive species in Florida. But I believe Cottonmouth would be quite unlikely in someone's yard. In any event non-venomous snakes are much more frequently encountered than venomous ones, especially in the east.
