I just got back from C.R. We did the manatee snorkel with American Pro Dive. Damned manatees didn't show up !! We saw a few in the sanctuary areas, but nothing out in the open. It was the total opposite of the trip we did about 15 years ago. You could have walked on the water, there were so many manatees. It was colder then, bringing more manatees into the springs. Didn't do any dives this time because I was with a group of non-divers. I don't like caves anyway. I get bored quickly in them. I'm more a wreck guy.

I live here in crystle river stay away from American-pro. Go see birds. Devils den good dive blue gotto good dive. But there is also Troy springs one of the best kept dive sites in the state of fl. and only costs 6 dollars to dive about 75 feet deep. Manatee Springs also another nice site and only 6 dollars too. Ginny springs nice dive even for open water divers.
