PerroneFord:
That would explain why the DIR line: "Nothing but your name on your tanks" flys in the face of the MOD and Gas labeling products from Halcyon. Halcyon needs to quit fooling around and come around to the DIR way...
Halcyon's tank and gas labeling products are DIR.. for stage and deco bottles. Nothing but your name (and a contets label ) on your back gas, but all other bottles need to be approprately marked.

As opposed to everything else they sell. Clearly the tank labeling products are the exception

who really decides what's DIR and what's not?

it's not like there's a written "DIR creed" is there?

We come to a consensus by debating it on Scubaboard :11:

i hope you've got a fluffy chair somewhere around here

You grew into your dual-tank 130's really quickly too ... it was most disappointing (I was rather looking forward to seeing you do a couple of head-stands, at least) ...

=)

well, i still can't suck down 260 cu ft of gas in a single dive though... i don't hoover *that* bad! so, i don't really *need* those double 130s. with the single 130s i've had dives where i've really sucked them down to rock bottom, so 100s or 80s just aren't big enough...

also, turns out i was 10 lbs overweighted. i did a weight check with charles and wound up just handing him my weightbelt and dropping down to 10 fsw no problems... i was pretty head-heavy with no weightbelt and i think that i'd probably lawn-dart if the tanks had been full...

because of that i just picked up an Al backplate so i can at least get a few lbs on my waist...

my back and stomach are pretty sore, i gotta start hitting the sit-ups...

my face is also bright red, gotta remember to start packing the bullfrog sunblock...

EDIT: I was going to apologize for the hijack, but after getting caught up in this thread, i don't really see the point of apologizing... for the record, *George's* mandate is trilam, GUE teaches trilam, crushed neoprene or other shell suit and GUE standards for rectriox are doubles or singles with H/Y-valve. personally, when i just setup my doubles i bought new regs instead of converting my singles to H/Y, but that costs a bit more. my next drysuit will probably be a CF200 with rockboots, and if someone wants to take away my magic decoder ring because of that, they're welcome to it...
