Experienced diver with absolutely no cold water/Canadian water experience. I've just returned to Toronto from the South Pacific, and am eager to get wet, but have no idea where to start. I'd love for someone to show me around!

I'm also in the market for a buddy to take some intro to tech courses with. Who's in?

Welcome Rain_. you might want to check out some of the local clubs in the GTA.
As diversteve suggested the OUC is good place to start.

Lots of clubs in the GTA, or you can venture to local dive spots. A bit farther from you is Brockville and the St Lawrence with lots of great diving. If you ever head in that direction I would be happy to be your dive buddy. I am very familiar with the area.

+1 on the Brockville / St. Lawrence River / Kingston area. Water is still a bit cold at 40C for me but should be warm enough by mid to end of May.

You might also want to check out Tobermory.
