As for trauma shears... We have lots, since we use them every day at work. I'll put a couple pairs away with the dive gear we're starting to accumulate.
Please, please, whatever you do, don't hang the knife upside down on your shoulder harness. But if you're going to do that then at least put a lanyard on it and clip them to a D-ring. Anything that's not clipped or tied off tends to contribute toward's Davy Jones' coffer.:wink: Still though, the upside-down-knife-on-shoulder-harness/corrugated hose carrying technique should be left to Hollywood Vietnam War movies.

I prefer a Husqvarna chain saw with a 18" bar. Compact and cuts cleanly and quickly. I clip it to my crotch strap ring with a retractor. Streamlined and powerful.

:D Aw, you know the Husqvarna is hard to start 100 feet down. . . There are air powered chain saws w 36" bars. The air exhaust stirs up the bottom and after a few seconds, there's an adrenaline rush as the chain is whirling around in 0' visibility. They are sold with no warranty for missing legs or arms.:D
