My new dad dive buddies Matt and Ed were able to escape their wives and new father duties to do a night dive with me at Bull Point/Ft Wetherill Last night.

The water was WARM!!! We were getting 73-74 degrees F down to around 45-50 ft where there was a visible thermocline and the temperature dropped to about 64 degrees F. Poor Ed was wearing his drysuit and a weezle..... meanwhile I was in my wetsuit and I was about ready to tear my hood off underwater because I was so warm! :D

Visibility was really good above the thermocline (15ft or so) but below the thermocline it dropped to more like 5-10ft.

Funny thing about the dive was that near the end we ran into another group of divers heading the opposite direction. Well when we past each other there was a little mix up and we managed to pick up one of their divers.... :D

I'd always be happier coming back with one more diver than 1 less!!

The other group is gotta be worried!!

Tampico_ED:
Well....they left me so indeed they had one less one less !!!

We started with 3
3-1+1=3 Therefore we had no net change in the number of divers.... :D

That is hillarious!! :rofl3: Vis was that good, eh?

Any bugs yet this year??? I noticed the the price dropped a lot at S&S....thinking they may be plentiful now? May have to get in the water one of these days for some bugs.

Actually vis was really good, it was just at night and he just started following the wrong set of lights.... :D

I didn't bother with my lobster license this year so I didn't take any, but I saw maybe two that might have been keepers. However, they were kind of borderline so I can't really say not having gauged them.
