The Kracken:
As a point of historical correctness, the submarine belonged to the "Kriegsmarine". The "Nazis" were members of a political group.
Not all German combatants of WW 2 were members of the Nazi party.
Well, THERE'S a debate that all of its own that would fill a thread or two.

What a timely find, right after the release of Shadow Divers (about the discovery and identification of U-869. Great book, by the way.)

Interestingly, the book discusses the issues of nazi/kreigsmarine sailors and the treatment of human remains on the U-869. I'll be following this story closely.

This is probably an openended question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
When a wreck like this is located, given its location, in what kind of condition can it reasonably be expected to be found?
