the swiss couple have left. the dive shop was taken over by a russian girl i belive. is this shop stii open?

Its still there.
The lady that runs it is, i believe called alla and her operation is called Blue Planet Diving (Diving in UAE | Blue Planet Diving).
Coastal Technical Divers also operate out of the centre running IANTD courses from open water through to full trimix (www,coastaltechnicaldivers.com)
