Love the post! I thought at first it was gonna be about a barracuda attacking you nice twist lol. I dont believe any of those barracuda attacking spearos stories.
 
If you want to freedive a wreck for big fish, do it before the scuba guys go down. The bubbles scare them away or push them down into the wreck. We usually freedive a wreck for 30min - hour. Then if its beyond our freediving skills, 2 guys may tank it.

I don't like the smell of dead Cuda so I've rarely shot any. Usually only for tournaments and then I give the fish away to friends that eat it, or donate it at the tournament fish charity if they have one.

I have had one spinning on my line while freediving, spin back towards me and bite down on my wooden gun that I was holding at the time.
