It's cleaner on the front with the extra inflator stowed. If I ever had to use the thing, I would keep it attached, but I use quality bladders and have never had a problem.

Attempting to reduce clutter is the main reason!

Give a better description of what ou mean as for cleaner in front with the inflator stowed.
 
We have been discussing the uses of a double bladder here.
Does anybody have an oppinion on dble vs single, and why use on over the other.
