There are dry hoods available as separates. I know a few people who own them. My interest has ended with the knowledge that they are distinctly more expensive. I've no need to spend extra cash fixing something that already works.

Did my first drysuit dive yesterday. Used my old hood and gloves from a wetsuit. Workd pretty well. No need to spend extra cash on useless hoods
44 min dive at 8 c water and no problems at all.

Did the bib get in the way of your inflater valve at all? You can always cut it off.

Not at all. The construction of the suit allows me to tuck the big in between suit and seal. That made it so much more comfy to use. And same hood works with my wetty.
