How expensive is it to get a boat out to the Galapagos? And when is the best time to go?

There is a range of prices depending on boat & how many days the charter is for (7 or 10), but the highest quality, serious dive boats are the two Aggressors & the Hughes' Sky Dancer. These start at ~$2,700 and go up from there. This does not include park fees, nitrox, tips & the like.

Best time of year depends on what you mean, although it's great diving all year round. Best large animal encounter time is late summer/early fall. Water is warmer & weather fairer in spring.

Best regards.

Reina Silvia (which is a private yacht that contracts to the outfitter rather than a dedicated liveaboard). We booked it thru Aquatic Adventures in Boulder, CO. Check their web site for schedules and pricing. I don't think they offer nitrox.

The boat travels to Wolf and Darwin and the front-end of the package included a first-rate hotel in Quito.

Thank you both for the help. I'll check into it asap. :)
