As it turns out there was a little more preparation this year - it looks like some of the roads that were smashed apart in January last year remained open to the desert so there was a bit more drainage. No sign of flooding in Old Sharm so something was certainly done there - and - actually - not so much rain fell as last year in Sharm. The jetties were closed that morning I tried to get to Thistlegorm but they reopened about 9am - too late to get to Sha'ab Ali but early enough to get some boats out...

Ah well, it was nice to be rained on for a few hours - not quite the event we were expecting! :D
