I have a Nikon D100 in an Aquatica housing. Most shots were taken with available light. I used an S&S 350 strobe for fill on close in shots but they move so fast you go from WA to close up in about 2 heartbeats. I mainly used the Nikon 17-35mm lens but did use the 12-24 some. Looking at my pics I should have used the 12-24 or 10.5 to get more shots from inside the cage looking out, to give a reference point for the size of sharks.
