I am looking for any suggestions on a good fin that performs well in strong currents. Has anyone used the Dacor Tiger or Mares Volo?

Fin performance has nothing to do with currents. When you are in a current, you move with the current. Think of it as a conveyor belt: when you are on a conveyor belt, whatever the conveyor belt does, you do as well. What kind of running shoes are good on a fast conveyor belt? The same kind that are good on a stationary conveyor belt. In the same way, fins that perform well in currents are the same fins that perform well otherwise. As far as recomendations go, I like scubapro jet fins.

I use Volos, and I like them. If you do a search, you should find a bunch of threads that talk about the fins you're asking about.

I have the volo's. They work well, but I tried a set of turtles (jets dont fit me) and really liked them. I've sinced parked the volo's. The control and maneuverability of the turtles just blew away the Volo's.

I'd highly recommend trying the old black bricks. Jets if they fit, turtles otherwise.
