yes, they are worth the money. you'll never need another pair of straps again, they won't break on you in the middle of a dive,
they are not an entanglement hazzard, and they are easy to put on and take off.

Spring straps are one of the "biggest bang for a buck" that a diver will get.
Donning and removal of fins made easier for a North Cal beach diver is a good thing.

I have seen them rust before, but only on one diver. Anyone else seen excessive rust? Maybe he wasn't rinsing them...
