There is no better time to post this than April 1st while screaming BULLspit at your screen.

It's known that you should be well hydrated before diving. The claim is that you should pinch your finger joint skin and if it returns to normal, then you are fine. But if it stays, then you are not hydrated, increasing your risk to decompression sickness from diving. Below is the youtube video.
