I wonder if they taste as good as Cabezon?

Or are they poisonous or too boney?

I just ordered some prints of California rockfish and California Scorpion Fish from Amadeo Bachar for my daughter. http://abachar.com/ I think he does many of the drawings for CA DFG ID book for children.

My comment about the cabezon was just a general comment. A lot of folks
don't know that cabs are sculpins.

I made it back from the midwest blizzard. Humann only shows the Buffalo
Sculpin, and not the Bull Sculpin. Gotschall shows both, but that's down
at the dive shack.

The ones I've seen aren't really big enough to eat. My old edition of Lamb & Edgell says "The small amount of flesh available from even a large buffalo sculpin requires some seasoning and is perhaps suitable only as an ingredient in a dip."

You now know as much as I do, which ain't much :D
