Each year many divers descend upon the Florida Keys for recreational mini-lobster season (the last Wed & Thur of July) and later for regular lobster season (Aug 6 thru Mar 31).
Have fun but please stay safe & dive within your limits and with buddies you are familiar with. Every year there are tragic incidents during Florida's mini-season.
Follow the rules. Every year there are arrests for poaching (exceeding limits, undersize, &/or egg-bearing lobsters).
Be mindful of the SPAs (Special Protected Areas) within the National Marine Sanctuary.
And please protect our fragile coral reefs from anchoring and breakage from poor diving & hunting techniques.
