There is a rumor in the July 7-21 issue of the Bonaire Reporter that Insel may make up the loss of the direct Aruba-->Bonaire--Aruba flights formerly available with Tiara (Tiara has been forced into bankruptcy because over $40million due it by Venezuela has not been paid) by initiating a new route between Bonaire and Aruba that does not require a stop in Curacao.

Also, be aware that Southwest is absorbing the Air Tran routes to Aruba into its system. The Bonaire Reporter is saying that these new Southwest routes will be available at lower cost than those of competing airlines and notes that "there is at least one flight per day from Bonaire to Aruba that can connect with Southwest flights in Aruba and provide time to pre-clear US Customs and Immigration in Aruba."
