off of manasota key, just south of venice.. it was just hanging in the sandy area betwen 2 sections of reef
 
I once knifed a flounder but had the sharp edge of the knife facing its tail, it sliced itself in two as it swam away.
 
What, everyone here sleep thru the "how to stab a flounder" class? Knife goes sideways.. and the spinal cord runs to the top of the fish... so spabbing in it's middle does not stone them.....problem is, figuring out what is up and what is down.
 
Screw that, stick them in the head, you don't tear up any meat that way. :p
 
A fluke is a piece of electronics test gear or a worm that inhabits the liver. A flounder is something you cook on a bed of onion and lemon and it tastes good.
