Wow! Incredible sleuthing on this one. I bet it won't be more than 3 days before we find the owner.

Just courious, anyone know migration routes of logerhead turtles? It is conceivable that the turtle carried it a long time to a nesting site. Long shot but hey. Just read further and never mind.

Of the 20 minute video, the turtle only fussed with it the first 5 minutes. The other 15 is just floating.

I may have found a free way for Aquahound to get the almost 2 gb vid to me for free so I can compress it and load it on Vimeo. Don't give up.

I got your PM. I'll try vimeo again in the morning. Cross your fingers. It really is pretty cool.

This is freakn' fantastic. We are now spot on with the location. I hope we hear from the school soon.

Ok, I process all of my videos on Windows Movie Maker before loading on Vimeo for sharing, before storing, etc.
Load it

Edit it however you wish, adding titles, cutting off unwanted parts, etc

Store on computer per a selection from a list of choices.
There are many tutorials on the net. But it sounds like you do need to cut and/or compress or Vimeo won't accept it on a free account. A good learning experience, unless you decide to let me help.

Since the location and times have been roughly established - why not send the picture of the two divers to a couple of the local dive shops to see if anyone recognizes them? They had to fill those tanks somewhere.....otherwise I would chip in nominate Aquahound to head to Aruba to take this search to the "boots on the ground stage".

That's it! That building in the back with the blue domes is the Alhambra Casino. :)

OK, I meant to ask both of you guys... how did you make these serial breakthroughs???

RoatanMan's guess of Divi Dutch Village resort was about a kilometer away from the true location of the Alhambra Casino, but it got us real close.

And how did Aquahound nail it regarding the casino?

I must have scanned across that area two or three times before that in Google Earth, looking for what I thought would be obvious blue domes. They weren't -- obvious, that is.

On the link for the Divi Village, there was a picture of the casino. It was a night shot, but enough to raise my eyebrows and Google image some more shots of it. From there, we were able to make sense of the surrounding buildings.

I missed it at first also when I was Google mapping. There is some cloud cover in the area that made it difficult.

Man I love this thread......Keep going guys & gals
I want to see a camera explode...

(For AH: It's an old SB joke. Not supposed to make sense.)
