I have an offer to get two steel 72's for a good price. I have searched, but can not find an answer.
1. The tanks have markings from wear they were doubled up. It looks like they were used in salt water a lot and now they have two big lines from the old bands. Can I steel wool the outside a bit to maby get off some of the salt and then can I reaply a coat ZRC cold galvanizing compound to the outside. I kind of want to make em look nice :eyebrow:, but would two coats of galv be too much?
2. The tanks have no rust except around the valve threads. Is there anyway to remove this rust?
Thanks
