Essentially I agree with DA Aquamaster above with a few minor variations.

I do the bulk of my dives in the 100' to 150' range my gas is typically air as a travel and bottom mix 50% as deco and the last stop on 100%.

I never got into dive tables and bottom timers except for what i needed to do for classes and certifications, I've always been more comfortable with having the computer do calculations for me rather than if i do them myself.

You can do a hell of a lot of diving on air without moving into trimix. Over the last 25 years of diving I routinely go to 150' and I've done over 170' on air and felt fine. having said that, I am signed up for a trimix class this spring and I'm looking forward to diving it. Personnally I guess I would only use it for the gap between 160' or so and 200' or so. I'm not sure I'm interested in routine pleasure dives of over 200' and I'm not sure many of my regular Jersey dive boats would even get enough demand to go that far.
