GC Hotel Recommendations

My non-diving (but snorkeling) wife and I are looking for a nice hotel with access to a diving operation (boats, equipment rentals, etc.) that's on the beach, has a pool and resturaunt, and is also near some nightlife and shopping. Recommendations gratelfully accepted.

Have you considered a condo rental on grand cayman?

Hotels fitting those requirements are few, but include:
The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, The Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.

All are located on Seven Mile Beach where most of the shopping and nightlife is located. All have pools and restaurants. Most dive operators will arrange to pick you up (normally by van) or you can go with the on-site providers.

There are MANY more options if you want to consider condos rentals, but you are still looking along Seven Mile Beach if you want to be near shopping and nightlife.
