Gilboa Water Temps?

Anyone been up to Gilboa recently? I've got a class up there this weekend and dreading donning the 7mil farmer john, I wanted to see if I could get away with a 3mil shorty under a 3mil full suit. The heat really gets to me so being cold for 40 minutes is preferable to a migraine from being wrapped in 7mil in 85 degree weather...

I was just up there this past weekend. The temp at the surface was 73 deg, 62 deg at the platforms, 54 deg at the plane/bus and 44 deg at the tubes.

Well, I must concur; it was indeed 44 at the pipes on Sunday. I think it was the only time this weekend I was happy I had a 6mm farmer john on. I got some good-natured ribbing for the circa '93 wetsuit, but I didn't get any kinda cold!
