Good shore diving near San Diego?

Can anyone give recommendations for an easy/nice shore dive in the San Diego, Ca. area? We will be traveling to SD this weekend for a business meeting next week and I was hoping we could sneak in a dive or two while we were in town.

Something with good macro opportunities would be great. Have done wreck alley in the past, too deep for my wife.

Check out Power Scuba Power Scuba (aka Scuba Diving in San Diego County) (La Jolla, CA) - Meetup a divers group from that area. They can give you some hints, and probably hook you up locals to dive with.

In San Diego: Power scuba (Meet up) is probibly your best bet for shore diving. But I highly recommend trying some boat diving if you will be hear over the weekend. (The Marissa) is my favorite. Nice clean boat, Great crew.
