Can anyone tell me about hawaiian slings. Also need info on pole spears and tips. Which of these would be best for flounder on near shore wrecks and artificial reefs off of the NC and SC coast.

Pole spears are great for flounder. Cheap, efficient and you can hang on to them. Much more likely to lose the shaft with a hawaiian sling. Pretty much any tip will work. Get an all stainless tri-point or rock point spinner.

Pole Spears work great,,,I prefer the aluminum over the fiberglass for flounder....Its has less flexibility in the Pole

Same here, I use a rockpoint, works great!
