Hey, also new to the forums. If you are near Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach I got my certifications from a dive instructor there. I think he has taught PADI courses in the past. We did SDI went I got certified. Not sure if he has switched agency affiliation or does both. I can share his contact details if you are interested.
