Deefer:
So...regards diving...The Red Sea is accesible, but after having dived in the Carribean the last three years - I don't want a really crowded dive resort....as I've heard that it can be..unless anyone can tell me where's best to avoid this?

Thanks

Deefer :D

One word: liveaboard. Beats diving from shore by a mile. :thumbs_up

A PADI CD who is a mate suggested Shark's Bay near Sharm, further away, quieter and because it's closer to some site than Naama (and conversely further away from others) you tend to be at dive sites at different times and avoid the rush.

Welcome to the board!

I would also recommend Tenerife. It's not as colourful as the red sea, but it's still lovely and imho the food is better! :D

Just joined - thought I thought I'd say hello..and if anyone can recommend somewhere warm thats good to go late August and no more than 5 hours flying from London. Great. I'll owe you a pint!

Hi Deefer,

Malaysia is only 5 hours away if you go to sleep for 8 hours !!!! A long way to fly but well worth it. Look into the Asia forum.

Welcome to Scubaboard !!!
