Hello everyone! I'm new to diving and I'm going to be finishing up my certification in the middle of July. I'm so excited to be doing this. It's been on my bucket list for years. My boyfriend and I are going to Roatan, Honduras in August and staying on the west end. We can't wait. My main reason for coming on this site is to find out more on video and photography. I believe I'm going to get a gopro hero 3 silver. Just want to know what tweaks everyone uses (lighting, mounts, etc). Can't wait to "dive" into this amazing world!

You're in a city that has a strong scuba program and you have the ability to either go padi or SSI. AFAIK the SSI scuba ranger was developed in shreveport.

I don't know which shop you got certified with. But check out the other shop. There are two completely different management style and each shop has a distinctive vibe to it. I have enjoyed diving with both.
