Welcome aboard I am new too from Merseyside..never been brave enuff to consider UK for diving am off to Sharm to do my OW course over xmas and can't wait....

Maybe I will be brave enuff to get cold one day!

I would avoid stoney at all costs! Its damn cold. Especially as we only had semidry suits on bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I have been in Stoney at a tropical 17C :)

I qualified in Dosthill when it was 9C :eek:

Rez, A tip I was given when I did my OW was this: When diving in cold water, before descending, flood and clear your mask at the surface, it isn't as much a shock later if it happens. Works for me.
