By the way, he's been certified since age 10 and has logged over 100 dives.
 
Great idea. Now if you could only combine scuba and lawn mowing.
 
Now, that is my kind of parenting! ...why do you think we had these kids, anyway?

didn't they used to come in handy on the farm too? I might have a couple more.

That's great... My daughter is 8 and she wants to scuba dive so bad, she can't stand it. I've been swimming along on the surface and giving her my spare. I hope I can get her into one of the kids programs, pretty soon.

PADI will take them as young as 10. NAUI wants to wait until they are 12.
 
Thanks, Mack. I think I'll wait and see how her maturity and attention span are, before making the decision. Right now, I'm thinking that 12 is probably the youngest I would allow her to do a scuba course, but a lot can change in two years...
