I thought that I had posted an introductory thread here on
the scubaboard, but it seems I am mistaken! My family of five,
except for my oldest son, all went through our basic open
water Certs during late June - early July this year. Our oldest
son (26) has been too busy working to join the fun so far. :- (
But, the youngest two, girl 15.5 yrs and boy 13 yrs are now
card holders!!! Hooray!!! We have a very good friend, (male,
late fifties - we are early fifties ourselves) who is a very experi-
enced diver. He's dove with us once at Blue Grotto about 1 hr
40 mins north of us, so far. Anyway, it's been a blessing to have
enjoyed this fun activity with the family and friend, and strang-
ers thus far. I am sure it will continue to be wonderful.
By the way, I have gone on and received my Advanced Open
Water Cert, and my Enriched Air Nitrox Cert. I think I will pur-
sue the Instructor Cert. :- D
