Greetings everyone... I am an open water diver got cert in Hawaii while i was stationed there.. I have mostly done shore dives as it was the easiest to do in Hawaii swim 200 meters and wala your at 60 ft... Currently stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. BY way of IRAQ right now FOR ONLY A FEW MONTHS MORE havent hadd the time to locate a new dive shop or organization to keep diving with. due to deploying as soon as I got to GA. love the water and the community of divers lol they only ones can put up with my smart butt. looking forward to getting wet again and meeting new peeps.

Welcome.
I just got back from a trip to Hawaii. Did five dives in Maui (all shore dives). You're absolutely right -- great place to dive. It also helps if you have a DPV. You can cover tons more ground.
