Isn't baby stool softener just Kayro Syrup? That doesn't seem right to be putting that in your ears. I think you got scammed :wink:

BTW, I use 50/50 (or there abouts). I may add peroxide to the mix because I like the bubbles...

Don't know what it was but I am sure it wasn't the home brewed version.

Equal parts Isopropyl and Hydrogen Peroxide. Never had a problem since.
 
I use hydrogen peroxide for wax buildup. I was using one part alcohol and 1 part vinegar for swimmer's ear, but I bought myself one of those battery operated ear dryers, Sahara Ear Dry. It seems to do the job.
