And he was so close ! When grabbing the ladder, you have to commit.

While in Aruba, we took a boat out for some diving. Waves were a bit high that day, and a very timid, inexperienced female diver was trying to board the boat after a dive. She was on the ladder but not holding on. As the waves rocked the boat, she was slammed into one side of the railing, then the other side. All the while she's calling for her husband to help her. She demonstrated no presence of mind of how to board the boat in rough waters. There's no way she should have been doing this kind of diving, as it was way beyond her skill level and she could have been seriously hurt.
