I am not very familiar with book screws and want to attach something 2 grommets thick on a hole in my backplate.

Looking at this XS Book screw :

Any of you know how large the gap is between both ends when fully closed? Do they sell different sizes book screws to accommodate different thicknesses of whatever you want to screw together? I imagine the screw needs to be completely screwed tight so that everything is pressed together but while still having enough of the screw going into the female end?

  • The 18mm is generally for attaching two grommet items and the back plate. Example would be attaching a soft STA, wing, and the back plate.
