How many diving days in Coron?

I'm doing a 7-dayTubbataha liveaboard in mid-May and wanted to tack on a few days to dive the Coron wrecks. I plan to stay at the AL FARO Cosmio or Puerto del Sol and dive with D'divers to minimize boat ride times out to the dive sites.

My question is: I can do 3 dive-days or 5 dive-days in Coron. Right now I'm thinking three. Is that enough? Thanks!

Hi! I did something very similar a few years ago.

I did a Tubbataha liveaboard and after disembarking, we had a van drive us all the way to El Nido where we did a safari from El Nido to Coron over 3 nights/4 days with Submariner Dive Center. On board, there was nitrox and we had our meals on the boat and slept on land at night. We dived the WWII wrecks along the way and it was fabulous. When then flew out of Busuanga into Manila to go dive Puerto Galera. It was easy and smooth doing it this way; it sounds like it would be perfect for you based on what you're trying to do. Before we set off on our safari, we spent a day or two in El Nido doing the tourist beach hopping by boat. It was lovely!

I know the trip and it looks perfect. I checked into it as a possibility but there hasn't been enough recovery in the economy (not enough tourists right now) so they haven't been able to do the safari. On my next trip I'd certainly like to try it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ah, that's a bummer to hear. Thanks for the info. I hope they recover soon. They're a really great op and their guides are quite a hoot and super fun to spend time with.

I hope you have some luck seeing the dugongs. I've had a bad track record so far - dugong butt is the best I saw (Egypt's Red Sea) as it was swimming away upon our entry.
