I guess I should have come here first A coworker showed me the site when I was in a panic last month about whether I could still go to Cozumel after Fun Jet cancelled the airfare to the island. Long story short, we made it there. On this Cozumel trip, my 10 year old daughter and I went through the PADI Open Water certification course through the dive shop at the resort we stayed in and got our junior OW and OW certs respectively.

Since the first of beach dives during the course, we have been hooked. Now we are back home doing local dive spot research and planning on buying way too much gear this coming weekend at ScubaToys I have been doing a ton of research on both gear and local dive opportunities and this board has been an invaluable resource.

Anyway, glad the place is here and looking forward to participating on the forum going forward as we become divers.

Hi Jarrett and welcome to you and your daughter to scuba diving and scubaboard.
Cozumel is an easy place to get bit big by the scuba bug. Have fun buying all your gear.
Mention to Larry at scubatoys you're a member here and he gives some kind of discount. Also check prices on what you plan to buy at like Leisurepro, he will meet their price. Have fun.
