I use OnShape for my CAD solution... I'm no pro, but I get by. However, I want to design using structural lumber, and it's a PITA in OnShape. This took HOURS!

I designed it to be the rear wall for this coop...

So, does anyone have a solution for this?

what are you trying to do build a solid wall for the rear of the coop ?

Why not take the couple of hrs and
Actually build it?
Sounds like that's the plan.....

It's not a swiss watch,
And not a polish shed either.

It's a chicken coop.
😉

We have very strict laws in Florida about chicken coops. Chicken density, composition and they can only have two doors!

That's easy enough to do without plans. But I would love to flesh out bigger projects, including a home, easily, using lumber. I wanted to show my concept of this to a friend, so I spent the time.

I had back surgery a bit less than 2 months ago. What used to be quite easy, will now take me a lot, lot longer with lots of breaks to sit and let the back de-spaz.

So, no solution yet. I have heard that free-cad might be the solution, and I downloaded it, but haven't had a chance to play with it. Maybe later today.
