I've got the vet and contracting exp. in my favor...only catch is that I'm taking a physics class two days a week.

It states that there is a shortage of vet techs - if that's correct I'm sure you could find something in this area. Even though you'd be taking classes, the unemployment rate is so low that your potential employer may be willing to work around your class schedule.

It's really hard right now to find qualified people that want to work, will do a good job and show up on time. Our firm has hired a couple of people in the last few months that we wouldn't have even considered a couple years back. We're also holding on to a couple of people that are pretty poor performers because they *sometimes* do an ok job and we know we can't find anyone better right now.
