I bought an Ingersoll Rand compressor a while back that is very similar to the Davey compressors used for air start aircraft. The Wisconsin 4 cyl air cooled engine runs great and the compressor spins fine, but all of the air bypasses out the bypass vent. I also have a 24 v alternator and 24 v voltage regulator to replace the old generator and vibrating points voltage regulator. Apparently the 4th stage is a floating piston that can get stuck if it sits for a long time. Its a 15cfm and the 7500cuin storage bottles are rated for 3600psi. The gauge on the 4th stage discharge has a redline of over 4000psi so it should pressurize high enough for fire department, scuba, or paintball use with less safety factor. The filters and filter housings are there but the ignition switch may need to be replaced since I had to bypass it so the engine would run. I am looking for information on this and would like to sell it if someone is interested. I have some attached photos and when running, the compressor generates about 20psi oil pressure and the engine around 40psi oil pressure.
Let me know if there is someone interested in this compressor.
