Currently we are looking for a position in any aspect of the dive industry, including: leading dives, instructing, store management, sales, marketing, filling tanks, assisting in gear repair, etc. At the moment we are living and working in Zanzibar. We are planning to relocate in the middle of July or early August. We feel that as a instructor couple team with our varied extensive experience we would be an excellent addition to any dive center.
We both take our position very seriously and always follow the standards of safe diving, while doing everything we can to make diving fun and to share our enthusiasm with others. We have motivation and an ability to perform a variety of tasks. As a very quick learners we are willing to try anything. We enjoy working with others and value the relationships we gain with fellow employees. Our outgoing attitude and unbreakable smile can bring a positive vibe to any work environment.
Rachel is a PADI instructor, having previously lived and worked in the US Virgin Islands, Maui Hawaii, Mahaual Mexico, Roatan Honduras, Curacao Netherlands Antilles, and the Seychelles. She is comfortable and prepared to work and live in any type of environment and economic conditions. Being born and raised in a resort town in Colorado she has extensive familiarity at helping enhance the experience for vacationers. Aside from her dive knowledge, she has worked in many different fields to improve the experience for others including: yacht crew, fine dining, casual server, personal chef, housekeeping, front desk, personal assistant, gardening, underwater photography and videographer, sushi chef, barista, nanny, and non religious minister. She has prior familiarity in retail and her knowledge of dive gear enhances my ability to make sales.
Russell is currently a PADI Divemaster, and a Instructor for both SDI(Scuba Diving International), HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association). He intends to complete his PADI instructor crossover as soon as possible. Previously he has worked in many aspects of the dive industry. In a small shop in Minnesota he worked in retail sales, booked and lead trips to tropical destinations, and assisted with basic shop management. Russell was responsible for the blending of all gas mixtures, including Nitrox, Trimix, Heliox, Argon. He also spent time crewing on a Technical/Recreational ship wreck charter in the Great Lakes. To facilitate his diving passion he started a small business for dive teaching and scuba product manufacture and design. He also worked in Curacao as a Divemaster and assisted in the repair of equipment and tanks.
