I found the best way to stow cats is to use a fishermans creel attached to a ring. A creel also alows you to stow a litter incase extra lift is needed.

You can't possibly be serious. A creel on the left d-ring would interfere with cleanly rigging your stage pooch! Not to mention that it's a major entanglement hazard!

It's just this kind of craziness that led Parker to his doom. There's only two ways to stow a cat: the way its done by FUE (Feline Underwater Explorers), and the wrong way.
 
You don’t stage cats, ever. The proper method is to “rig some bolt snaps to Fido and clip him off like a stage” (O-Ring 11/02). Fido being a Pit Bull, Fido holds the cat. The standard pit bull is about the size of aluminum 80.
