Dr. Espinola: Diving Accident Claims Life of a Japanese Tourist

Guam - Medical Examiner Dr. Aurielo Espinola reports that a diving accident has claimed the life of a Japanese tourists.
It is the second death of a Japanese tourist in as many days in the waters off the island.
Dr. Espinola told PNC News that he has not yet performed an autopsy on either the 74 year old man who was pulled from the waters of Tumon Bay yesterday [Tuesday] nor has he performed an autopsy on the diver who was brought in today [Wednesday].
The families of both victims have asked for the autopsy to be delayed until they can arrive on island and he said he agreed to their request.
GFD Spokesman Ed Artero says that there was a reported diving accident this morning but he was unaware of a death in the case. GPD Spokesman Lt. Art Paulino was not aware of a fatal diving accident.
